Tiny baby: The skull gap freaks me out

So new babies have a gap in their skill, which essentially means the brain is exposed…albeit under the skin and hair. And that is as weird as it sounds. You can see and feel it pulse, or contract when he swallows or yawns.
This is grim! When will this hole fill in!? What damage can be done before it does close!?

And why, dammit, is he determined to head-butt my chin with his brain!? As one colleague of mine said. If he’s a moron, I’ll know why. #FML.
